this was a dream property, more like staying at a friend's wealthy grandparents' historic home in exclusive la jolla. Large sunlight filled house with gorgeous slate edged pool and hot tub in totally private lush green landscaped yard. But that's just the beginning. the artwork and furnishings make this a home really personal, a beloved multigenerational summer home. the 4 1/2 bathrooms were a luxury and the kitchen great for our party of 6 adults and 4 kids. the tv room was so cozy and comfy and brought us all together. we ate outside every night a the table for 10. the walk to the beach is 10 min and gives the house peace, quiet and privacy you just can't get down by the beach. well worth the walk, just bring a wagon. we loved being so close to "town" too, just 1 1/2 blocs to The Corner Mercantile for great sandwiches, juice , milk, fresh eggs, and the very friendly owner Lisa. Four blocks and you're at Neighborhood Market and House of Pizza. The kitchen is classic "rich people cottage" and worked very well for us. We loved how few modernizations have been made and appreciated how thoughtful the few changes were: a big subzero refrigerator! a super fast hot tub heater! good wifi and smart tv with everything! We are long experienced with renting La Jolla vacation houses and this one is a jewel for anyone who appreciates a vintage home with old fashioned charm. We really liked our stay and hope to come back. We would recommend it to friends or family.

Had a lovely time here- the house was amazing and accommodated the whole family. We enjoyed the tennis court, pool, hottub and the close walk to the beach. So many spaces in the house to hang with family. The kitchen was fantastic- 3 sinks, 2 dishwashers and 2 ovens! The hosts were very responsive. Would love to stay again if the our family plans another event like this one.

We cannot say enough about this gorgeous house, location and amazing property manager! This truly was one of the best homes we have ever rented and will be looking for a reason to come back!
