Thire was bugs in the room

The View was just lovely. We were on the 4th Floor so we had a fabulous view of the lake and mountains. The rooms were clean and tidy. Beds comfortable enough. Lift access was a bonus. The pool area was on the same level as the pool so it was a great little spot to relax and eat without having to go back and forth from the pool to the restaurant. We could eat at the pool if we wanted or just move to a table right next to the pool. It was very convenient. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good. The Best Curry I had in SL. Authentic and spicy. The Hoppers in the morning and all the sambals etc to go with it were delicious!! Yum! Plus the western selections were sufficient also. With Eggs made to order etc. Fruit and cereals. Staff at the restaurant were lovely. But not always around. Just stick your head in the kitchen to find them if you need them. The pool was not huge but sufficient if not too busy. Be patient with the language barrier. There was confusion with some of our requests - but we got what we needed in the end, and had some laughs also. It was a great place to stay.

There was a mix up with the room we booked. The staff were not honest about it. I booked a room with a balcony and did not get that. When I questioned it, I was told 'i did not book a room with a balcony' When I checked my booking I was able to evidence that I most certainly did book a balcony room. Finally we were offered the Family Suite. Which was an upgrade but told we had to move the next day. The logistics of doing this with a child was not ideal and after a stern conversation they did let us stay in that room for out two nights there. Which they should have done from the beginning as a good will gesture either way. However, this was a minor issue, and we were happy that it sorted itself out. We would not let this stop us from staying here again when we visit next time.

Unfortunately, the food and dining experience were not very good. During dinner on Saturday night, the menu options were limited, especially the fish dishes. The savory items were not enjoyable, and the potatoes and fish were not good. Kiripondu was not offered as practices although it was eventually provided when we asked for it, which we appreciated. Overall, the dining experience was disappointing and could be improved in terms of food quality, seasoning, menu variety, and service.Authentic food was not in available in Saturday night
