To protect and support our local bee population and wildlife habitat, the grounds are left wild and intentionally unmoved. Because this is rugged, natural terrain rather than a manicured parkland, it may not be ideal for elderly guests, visitors with mobility concerns, or very small pets.- Off-grid experience: no WIFI or A/C- Off-grid system: property uses septic system w/ a 250-gallon water tank & potable water; you may experience occasional fluctuations in water temperature due to the nature of the system- This property sleeps 2 guests in 1 bed, with room for 4 total by using the 2 twin floor mattresses

This was the most relaxing place to stay with my kid and dogs. The cabin was clean and cozy and the views are spectacular.

The description of this cabin is misleading and lead us to an early departure. We rented the cabin for two nights while in town for a local wedding. On the first night of our stay there was a significant infestation of large carpenter ants in the bathroom and loft sleeping area. There was also significant wood shavings found in the bedding. Our first morning we were looking forward to taking our kids trout fishing as advertised in the cabin listing. The booklet found at the property warned us to avoid the yellow parsnip which was abundant on the trails to the trout stream. The need for proper protection was not communicated to us prior to our arrival. The significant overgrowth of all foliage prevented us from accessing the stream and we were unable to fish at all. We later returned to the cabin after hiking and found the cabin without power. The cumulation of the ants, inability to fish and no power, resulted in our decision to leave the property a night early. We would recommend families find other accommodations when staying in the area.
