Villa Verde includes 40kWh of electricity per night in the nightly rate. Usage is metered at the start and end of your stay and anything above the included amount is billed at $0.50 per kWh and settled after checkout. Guests who exceed the allowance typically spend around $20 - $25 per night extra. Curaçao’s trade winds keep the villa comfortable during the day. Using air conditioning mainly at night, with doors and windows closed, helps keep usage down. We share this upfront because we’d rather you know before you book.

- For stays of 7 nights or more, we recommend a mid-stay clean. This house was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The landscaping was beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the home is located in a safe, upscale neighborhood with so much nearby.Some of the best beaches we’ve visited were just a short drive away, with crystal-clear water and incredible snorkeling. The host was extremely accommodating, providing toddler essentials such as a high chair, Pack ’n Play, and playpen, all of which came in very handy during our stay.The host also shared excellent local recommendations for restaurants and family-friendly activities and was always available to answer any questions. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with every appliance, utensil, and cooking tool we could possibly need.Jan Thiel Beach was only about five minutes away and offered great restaurants, shopping, and a beautiful beach atmosphere. We also loved having access to the games and ping pong table, which were a hit with our group.We will definitely return to Curaçao, and if we’re traveling with a larger group again, we wouldn’t hesitate to book this property. Don’t think twice—book it! You won’t be disappointed.

Overall, the villa was FABULOUS! Very comfortable, clean, spacious, beds were great, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. Pool and palapa area on the patio were greatly enjoyed. Kitchen was spacious and well supplied. Used most of the appliances. TV had HDMI cable to attach to laptop so could watch all our subscription services. Table was the perfect size for meals and for games.David, our host, was great! He gave us ideas on events, was available for answering all villa questions, came by when we asked for more basic supplies and made our stay a wonderful experience. If we had a question or needs, he was there for us.We felt that having a car was a must. Used it for grocery runs, restaurants, and multiple snorkeling/beach trips. We enjoyed the BRGER restaurant on Spanish Bay (10 min walk or 3 min by car) and restaurants (and ice cream!) at Jan Theil resort (15 min walk or 4 min by car.) We also drove into downtown Willemstad multiple times. Enjoyed Thursday nights in Willemstad for the Punta Vibes and fireworks. Loved it! Live music and art throughout the downtown area and fireworks. We planned our visits around when least number of cruise ships were docked.We highly recommend Jan Theil Villa!
