Waycross HouseCheck-in was fine but there are a lot of things we had to go buy to make the house livable for the week. We bought pots and pans because the pots here are really old and distorted. One of the rooms has no closet, one room with a closet has no rod, and the one room with a rod, the wooden rod is not strong enough to handle all of our clothes. We were here for a church convention so we had lots of clothes for day services and night services. We also had to buy a full ironing board because the table ironing board is too small to iron our clothes. Thursday, just sitting on the bed, it started falling apart underneath. I’ve attached pictures. The hot water in the kitchen only worked for a few minutes on the first day. The remaining time we had to boil water to make dish water for cleaning the kitchen. The hot water in the shower, in the rear bathroom worked for a few days then it no longer produced hot water. The faucet in the rear bathroom never produced hot water. We have rented other homes in other locations and have never had the experience we had here. Many aspects of this stay have been an unexpected challenge. Extra money had to be spent due to many insufficiencies.I’m really disappointed. If we would have had an opportunity to stay somewhere else, we would have asked for our money back but there are not many options in Waycross. We made it work but these issues really need to be improved for future rentals.

House looks beautiful in the pictures, that’s why I am assuming there are no outside pictures. Not a good area, didn’t feel safe. Didn’t get the address until after the time allotted to cancel but even once I got it shame on me for not verifying the location. Received the access code 2.5 hours after rental started and was driving from MI so was panicking because not much communication and after asking yet again for code it took over an 1.5 hours for her to give it. Was told they were cleaning and lost track of time so house wouldn’t have been ready by 4pm (check in) Got there and my husband wouldn’t even let me get out of the car, we have kids and just had a bad feeling about all of it. Bad area, next street over appeared to be a drug deal, was told just because one person was doing that doesn’t mean it’s a bad area/ Neighborhood . Overall, RUN! Ended up having to rent 2 hotel rooms in a panic last minute after driving 15 hours with 3 kids, and arriving after 8:30 pm ..disappointed by the false advertisement. I will refrain from posting area pictures of respect to protect the address. I will make sure the artist that hosted the event and had us is aware for his next events to use caution and make his fans aware.
