The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect if you are visiting the Blue Lagoon. We stayed here for the night after the Blue Lagoon and set off to the Golden Circle the next morning. Quiet ( almost ghost )town as they have suffered from a recent volcanic eruption, so the businesses appreciate your stay there
It doesn’t have any self catering facilities in the room but we found that behind reception there were stoves, plates, utensils etc, so you can have a simple meal in the dining area. The hotel doesn’t advertise this but it’s there
Unfortunately, we were not impressed by the cleanliness. The lobby could do with a scrub and so could the bathroom in the room. The beds were clean, so it was liveable but not what you would expect in a hotel

The hotel was only an 8 minute drive from the Blue Lagoon. The lobby area was expansive with lots of space to hang out.
The outside of the hotel had all the charm of an abandoned elementary school. The only sign on the building was approaching the hotel from the northeast, so it was hard to identify. The coffee pot in our room was dusty and needed to be cleaned by us before we could use it. Breakfast served in spurts so you had to return to the serving area several times to get enough food.
