The apartment was clean and the host was very helpful. The apartment is quite a distance from any service that you may desire ie.- restaurants, markets, etc. It’s not the distance as much as it was the incline on the way up to the apartment. For travelers who are not young and very physically fit or who have a car, I would pass on this location. We altered our daily routine because of this-one trip into town per day. Our stay was in early June and unseasonably warm. The apartment is about half a mile (more or less, but seemed longer) uphill followed by 4 flights of stairs to the apartment. The neighborhood is residential but has very narrow sidewalks and some are blocked by cars, trash receptacles, etc. Some guests would find the road up to the home a little scary after dark.Cars and motorcycles zoom by with little regard for pedestrians. Very minimal supplies were provided and we had to purchase paper products, (no cloth or paper napkins that we could find), condiment-size packets of olive oil, no microwave, no fan to keep mosquitos away which were numerous if you are a person who attracts them.On the positive side, we received prompt service from the host, it’s spacious, the washing machine works well, the TV was nice, and it has great air conditioning! A rarity in Italy.
