Villa Komalee

This place is a true gem! Honestly! It only has two rooms/apartments, and you're lucky if you get it during high season. The price is really good! The owner doesn't overcharge you for anything. He (Anushka) just wants you to have the best stay possible. The apartment in itself is great, everything is new and has a high standard, compared to most B&B/Homestays in SE-Asia. The bed is big, the mattress is firm and by far the best I have experienced during my 6 months of travelling in SE-A. The kitchen has a fridge, cooking stove, and everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner. The area is quiet and calm, tuktuks are easy to get and cheap, and there is a shortcut over the railway to get down to main road in 5 minutes. 100% recommend!

This place is awesome, especially at this price! It’s brand new so everything is clean. The villa is big and the bed is really comfortable, there is a bug net, a/c and fan so it’s really nice to sleep at night or during the hottest part of the day! It’s inside a private compound so it feels super safe, there’s a kitchenette with stuff to make basic meals and drinks and the bathroom is spacious and clean! It’s close to Unawatuna and Dewata beach, there’s a shortcut to the main road which makes walking around easy, the hosts/staff are really great they helped me with everything I needed and even took us kayaking and snorkelling! We ended up extending and staying for more than a week! I will for sure come back here next time I’m in Sri Lanka!

(I was a little bit skeptical because it’s so new, so no reviews but I’m so happy I chose to stay here, it’s really great!!) It is close to the train tracks, so a little bit noisy sometimes but this is not a problem at all! The trains only run during the day and it’s actually quite nice to sit in bed, look out the window and see them going past!

Absolutely loved our stay at this villa KOMALEE. The location was perfect, room was huge, the amenities were top-notch, and the hosts were super responsive and he was helpful with our needed. The villa was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed including kitchen stuff. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway! And there was a garden with outdoor hut, we really love to be there around evening time because that peace full sound of Bodhi Tree leaves. 5 stars isn't enough 😌 definitely we will back and Highly Recommend 🥂 Thank you.
