Kinan Retreat

We were a family of 3, 5yrs old kid. Location is almost on the doorstep to the sea, best spot on island! Rooms are clean, and most important, you feel as coming to home, since you take down flipflops in front of retreat, splash your feet with fresh water to rinse all the sand away and walk on... :) Staff friendly, also many trips avaliable thru their own organization-prices very reasonable or better say a good deal for an amazing experiences they provide. My husband and I stayed at Kinan resort for 4 days and we loved it! The beach is absolutely breathtaking. Crystal clear Waters of all shades of BLUE we were truly blown away. This is a residentIal Island NOT a resort Island so there is no alcohol. Be prepared to relax. There is a Diving shop right next door to the hotel offering everything from scuba Diving to snorkeling and a cafe next door, other Than that there isn't much else. You could walk from one end of the Island to the next in about 5 mins. The hotel itself is small and the staff really tries to accomodate your needs, the rooms were decent a size and clean, but our bathroom had a strange odor that crept in everyday around the same time which they seemed to deodorize every time they cleaned our room. If staying here I would reccomend staying on a friday night.. they set up a beautiful dinner for everyone on the beach and do traditional music and Dancing in the hotel it was a great time! I would stay here if you're looking to catch a glimpse of real maldivian life and not just a resort Island

The location is the best. The rooms are spacious. Staffs are more than helpful in all aspects. Even though a small island you would not be short of activities to do.
