Quiet vacation rental for 2 people with basic amenities.
The village of Nohen is located in the newly designated Birkenfeld/Nahe National Park District, not far from the “jewelry town” of Idar-Oberstein and the city of Baumholder. Nohen is a quiet little village with about 375 residents that offers convenient transportation options even without a car. It is situated directly in the Nahe Valley along the Mainz–Saarbrücken rail line; thanks to the Rhineland-Palatinate Regional Train Service, the Nohen stop is served by trains. The “Nohener Nahe-Schleife” (Nohen Nahe Loop) is the only premium hiking trail in the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig network that has a direct rail connection. The train station is about 200 meters from the vacation rental. The vacation rental is located in the higher-elevation part of Nohen, toward Birkenfeld. There is also a bus service to Birkenfeld (6 km), which has shopping options, and to Baumholder (12 km).
Our apartment is located on the first floor on the right side of the house. It measures over 80 m² and features simple, cozy vintage-style furnishings that emphasize sustainable living. With a separate entrance to the apartment, you’ll have complete privacy. Parts of the house date back to 1852, giving this apartment its own unique charm. Thick masonry keeps the summer heat out. If it’s still too warm for you, you can take a “nap” on lounge chairs in an old, cool vaulted cellar. We offer a simple, cozy, and quiet vacation rental in a peaceful building.
Note: To reach the toilet and shower, the apartment has a staircase with two steps leading down.
