From start to finish I was very impressed with this listing and the host. There were so many things to look at I'm pretty sure we could've stayed in and never been bored. There were snacks when we arrived and the coffee bar was stocked with all sorts of different beverages. Someone has had to be a tech nerd because the lighting was off the chain! I would gladly stay here again if we are ever in the area again. Thanks so much!!

What a find! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Solar Lodge. A unique and fascinating property that was also welcoming and cozy, warm and inviting. The eclectic collection of books in the library is amazing. Our hosts offered several options for coffees, teas & snacks. Multiple outlets everywhere. Obvious attention to detail has been made by hosts Colin & James! I especially liked the heated toilet seat. We would definitely stay here again!

Most of the reason I love short term rentals vs hotels is because the individuality of the spaces that are available. This place blew me away. A beautifully curated blend of vintage/antique decor, an endless supply of books, comfortable lounge spaces, and most of all a bed like a cloud. The neighborhood is quiet within walking distance to restaurants, brown line, and a pastry shop with the best macaroons I’ve ever had. Our host was very attentive and available for our questions. He was able to tell us how to connect to the Bluetooth speakers through out the flat which definitely enhanced our stay. The space is all around 10/10 in every category and I am looking forward to booking it for my next Chicago trip.

This was a wonderful space. The library and interior decor are so unique! Plenty to see and explore. The books are well curated and represent a fun variety of many subjects. There are new things to discover in every nook. The hosts were friendly and responsive, but left us undisturbed to enjoy our time and each other's company. The apartment is fully stocked with anything you might need. We will definitely be back!!
