My wife and I had been touring around Spains cities for a couple of weeks mainly by bus but we picked up a car at Malaga Airport to spend just over a week in the Duquesa area as we used to come her 30 years ago when the kids were young. The apartments we hired on our city trips were a bit of a mixed bag but didnt sweat it too much as we only stayed 3 nights in each place. As we were here for 8 nights we kept our fingers crossed that the apartment would be up to scratch, clean and homely. We needn't have worried on any of those fronts. We knew as soon as we walked in we were going to enjoy this place. Its on the first floor but the whole complex is built into the side of a hill so it feels more like a 4th floor looking out the front and a 1st floor to the rear which looks out onto the scrubland of a hill side. Nothing and nobody looking back at you from there. The covered balcony is amazing. Larger than most peoples front rooms. Well equipped with a large dining table a comfy settee and two further comfy chairs with nice thick cushions. Probably my favourite place in the apartment to be. The added bonus is this flat is on the corner of the block which affords views to the side as well as front. This was the best view as you could see several miles into the distance towards Estapona. The only down side was there was a fair wind blowing most days and during the height of summer that breeze may be very welcome but it did make it a bit chilly some evenings as we were there late September 2026. The lounge area and kitchen were very well equipped and we ate in several times. (Maybe could benefit from 1 more saucepan) Its a 2 bedder so were were able to spread out across both rooms as there was just the wife and I. Both rooms are quite spacious and have ample built in wardrobe space. The aircon is a bit unusual in that it supplies the whole apartment so you cant individualise each room. The plus side was there was zero noise heard in the bedroom at night.

I personally found the bed mattress a little firm for my liking.

la amplitud del apartamento,, la decoración moderna y funcional, la limpieza impecable de todo. Está dotado de lo necesario en menaje, cristalería, cubertería, hasta el último detalle y prácticamente nuevo. Las camas de lujo. Las sábanas, las toallas,,, todo muy bien. La piscina de la urbanización, apenas con gente!!. La atención de Mark y de Andrea, siempre pendiente de lo que puedas necesitar..Muy agradecido.

básicamente que al estar en una zona residencial necesitas usar el coche porque no hay comercios alrededor. Eso si, en menos de 5 minutos tienes de todo, incluyendo un genial Puerto de la Duquesa.

The owner and host were very helpful. The area was nice, quiet .peaceful holiday. Proximity to beach just right. Clean apartment, spacious well equipped.

The parking was tricky, required patience to manouver up to the garage. But this should not put anyone off.
