Other highlights
San Andrés Beach is an intermittent beach. From approximately December through April, it’s rocky, and from April through December, it’s black sand. It has some of the best waves on the island, but you need to be careful of the currents. When swimming, we recommend never straying far from the shore and never letting children swim alone.
For families with young children, we recommend the natural pools at Altillo (a 5-minute walk away), where they can observe various fish and marine life.
