Horrific

Absolutely nothing to like about this property

Do not stay. Absolutely horrible place. It’s in the middle of a very rough council estate. We had a 6 hour drive here and on upon starting our journey earlier that day we realised we had no communication regarding entering the property. I phoned and emailed the owner and upon arrival after our long drive there was a key lock box and we had no way of getting the keys. In all honesty we didn’t even want to go in anyway as it looked horrific but after such a long day and late arrival we had little choice. A lady came out to see us from a neighbouring property who knew the owner and contacted him to get us in. He eventually turned up and said he’d replied to my email with a key code. I had received nothing. I did however get the message 4 days later. This could be a problem with booking dot com. But regardless of this, the key code should have been sent by the owner way before our arrival. Don’t be fooled in to booking this place based on the photos in the advert. Yes he’s refurbed the kitchen, bathroom etc with new units but the general decor is in a state of disrepair with unpainted walls etc. There was no key provided for the back door which was locked and meant no way of getting out in the event of a fire if we couldn’t get out through the front. There were cereal boxes in a bottom cupboard that appeared to be chewed by mice or rats. Another draw was full of unopened bills. Glasses had cracked rims and there was barely enough plates and cutlery. There was a huge crack in the glass of the rear window of the dining room that could have been dangerous. Bedding was also not clean and the towels provided were small and not much use for drying. We were woken during the night by youths fighting outside and threatening to kill each other with knives. Quite scary. Plus the constant noise of cars racing round the estate most of the night. We’re so annoyed that this man has our money in his pocket for providing this place. One night in this hell hole was enough. Avoid 😡

Awful stay

Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with the cleanliness of this Airbnb. When we arrived, the bins hadn't been emptied and there was still food left in the fridge from previous guests. There were also random items left around the property, including things in the wardrobe, bags and pillows left out, and the overall place didn't feel like it had been properly cleaned before our arrival. The bathroom bin still contained rubbish, the mirror was dirty, and even the toaster had crumbs and food residue in it. It wasn't the standard of cleanliness we expected, especially when paying for an Airbnb that advertises professional cleaning. Overall, it made a poor first impression and wasn't the clean, welcoming accommodation we were expecting.

Horrible - avoid this place!

Nothing! The property was superficially renovated. It smelled of bleach. But there was urine on the toilet and a dirty towel in the washing machine. Opening cupboards revealed that they were not renovated or cleaned and smelled of mould and cigarette smoke. The smoke alarm was beeping loudly every few minutes.

My elderly mother had just been discharged from hospital and was still quite unwell. The property was so awful we could not stay there - my mother could not have recuperated there. The hosts were very unresponsive and continue to be so as I have asked for a receipt from them repeatedly to no avail.
