Schweitzer Mountain is 20 minutes from your front door and visible from the property, and this 4-bedroom luxury home is the ideal place to land after a day on the mountain. Wake up to panoramic views of the Selkirks, fuel up in the full kitchen, and head out to one of the Pacific Northwest's best ski resorts — 2,900 acres, consistent snowpack, and blissfully manageable crowds compared to better-known resorts. Come home to the fire pit, pour something warm, and do it all again tomorrow.

The space - Four generous bedrooms mean your ski group sleeps well and wakes up ready. The open living and dining area is designed for gathering — big enough for a full group dinner after the lifts close, comfortable enough that no one wants to leave. A fully stocked kitchen handles everything from early breakfast before first chair to a post-ski charcuterie spread. The on-site gym is there for active recovery, and the washer and dryer handle a week's worth of base layers without complaint.

When night comes, the fire pit earns its place. There's nothing quite like an open fire under a North Idaho sky after a day in the cold.

Getting outside Beyond Schweitzer, the property sits at the trailhead of a private path down to the river — quiet and beautiful in winter, with snow-muffled silence and the chance to spot wildlife along the bank. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are available on the property and ice fishing on Lake Pend Oreille is available close by. Downtown Sandpoint is a short drive and worth the trip: local restaurants, a craft brewery or two, and a small-town energy that never feels touristy.

Planning ahead? Summer is spectacular here too. The same home transforms into a lake and mountain basecamp when the snow melts — river swimming, kayaking on Lake Pend Oreille, and long evenings on the deck. Summer dates book fast; worth reserving early if you're thinking ahead.
