The vacation rental has an area of approximately 120 square meters and is furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes, among other things, a dishwasher, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a coffee maker, a citrus juicer, and a blender. The last complete renovation took place in 2018. The apartment can accommodate 2–4 guests. A crib and a high chair can be provided upon request. Most windows can be darkened with electric blinds. The terrace at the back of the house belongs to the vacation rental. It features a covered and cozy seating area as well as a ping-pong table. A charcoal grill, including charcoal, is available. Children are also welcome to play in the garden (e.g., badminton, soccer).
The vacation rental is located near a bike path that’s perfect for beautiful rides (e.g., to Aachen, Monschau, or even Belgium). The historic old town of Monschau is 15 km away and can be reached by car in just over 20 minutes. The Christmas market in Monschau is considered one of the most beautiful in the Eifel. It is characterized by its romantic atmosphere in the historic old town with half-timbered houses and the many strings of lights.
The Rursee is a large reservoir in the Northern Eifel, distinguished by its many bends and peninsulas. Together with the Obersee and the Urftsee, it forms a reservoir landscape and is a popular local recreation area. You can explore the lake by boat, bicycle, or on foot.
Vogelsang is considered a historic site with a highly unusual and eventful history. The former Nazi “Ordensburg” is now a memorial site that stands for tolerance, diversity, and peaceful coexistence. The best way to get to know Vogelsang is through a guided tour; there is also a permanent exhibition.
In addition, the Eifel offers many other excursion destinations, such as a guided canoe tour in the Eifel National Park or a visit to Schmidt Wildlife Park.
