Conveniently located close to shopping centers and restaurants. Rooms were clean and always well maintained. Free Parking. will definitely stay here again

Very pleased budget minded Utah traveler visits LA area 2 or 3 times per year: This was by far the best remodeling of a budget priced room I've seen in the LA area to date. (About $100 per night)....new tile floors and bath, glass shower doors, marble counter, new bath fixtures, 2-tone paint, and crown moldings. The fact that there was no paint smeared onto the plumbing behind the toilet tells everything you need to know about the quality of the work. I swear every other budget room I've stayed in LA county looks like it was painted by 8 year olds. Not here. This place is obviously cared for with pride in spite of the fact that it is a low frills accommodation. Located central to Disneyland. Knotts, the beach, and even Universal Studios was the main reason I looked in Downey. I will stay here again! These folks deserve to have their rooms filled by budget minded travelers. Let's help them out by voting with our feet and sending and message to all the 8 year old painters in LA area who think their garbage rooms are up to snuff. Downey Inn is also located just down the street from the oldest surviving McDonalds (built mid 1950s). Check that out too if the nostalgia is of interest to you.

Clean room, polite late night staff

The hotel location was ideal and walking distance to many things in Downey. Although there wasn't a pool, the hotel's AC worked well and kept us cool. Water was shut off for 7 hours (5p-12a), however, that was due to a city shut down and not due to the hotel itself. Will stay again.
