Winter Driving: Be prepared for the winter weather from November 1 to April 30, including always carrying snow chains in this time frame. Do a dry run if they are new to you, and check road conditions on CalTrans.

Electric Shut-offs: To prevent wildfires, Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) may be incurred as dictated by specific weather conditions (e.g. high winds, Santa Ana winds off the hill), as mandated by state laws. Current information may be found on the Bear Valley Electric Service, Inc. (BVES) website, the local utility company.
