Thinking of climbing Scafell? We are a 10 mins drive to the start of the climb at Wasdale Head. What about wild swimming or paddleboarding? Again, only 10 mins drive to Wastwater. If beautiful empty beaches are yourthing, then a 10 mins drive in a different direction takes to to the wonderful sandy beach of Seascale. Lovely walks from the door and a short walk to a dog friendly pub. Also short walk to the River Irt for fishing (permit required). So whether you want active, or peaceful, we have something for you.

Plus 4 dogs welcome, so your pooches can enjoy the lake district too. A fully enclosed grass garden (1.2m fencing) with patio area for outside dining and general mooching. Lovely views of Great Gable from the garden. Parking right outside.

Gunn cottage is a charming 1 bedroom cottage (sleeps 2 in 1 king bed) with open plan living/kitchen and bathroom. High beam ceilings, stone walls and a log burner gives it bags of character.
