Welcome to our stylish and cozy basalt barn on the Gelbach Heights in the beautiful Westerwald!

In the attic of our barn, you’ll enjoy a direct view of the countryside.
From 2019 to 2025, we renovated and expanded our basalt barn, built in 1913, with great attention to detail. The vacation rental is brand-new and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

There is a spacious kitchen-living room with a large refrigerator, TV, and fireplace, as well as a view of the garden.
There is one bedroom and a loft, accessible via a ladder.
The apartment features underfloor heating and cooling, as well as electric roller shades.
Bedding and towels are included; a washer and dryer are available in the bathroom.

The apartment has a small balcony that gets sun until noon. Our natural garden, featuring a rabbit pen, a green meadow, large trees, and a barbecue area, is available to us and our guests.
There, you can enjoy the sun well into the evening or relax in the shade of the trees.

Our guests also have the exclusive opportunity to rent our cozy “Irish Pub” in the evenings—a very special extra!
Enjoy the authentic atmosphere by the crackling fireplace, complete with charming details. Whether for a relaxing evening for two or a small, convivial gathering—a stylish addition to your stay.

From Stahlhofen, many beautiful places are within easy reach: Go on wonderful walks and hikes around Stahlhofen, explore the Gelbach Heights, the Gelbach Valley, and the entire Westerwald with its beautiful hiking trails; visit the Westerwald Lake District and the Kannenbäckerland region; or explore the historic centers of Montabaur, Hachenburg, Limburg, and Diez with their half-timbered houses. The idyllic Lahn Valley and the Rhine Valley, with their castles and vineyards, are also nearby. The Bad Ems thermal spa invites you to relax, and the FOC Montabaur Factory Outlet Center is perfect for shopping.

You can park your car in our courtyard and access the apartment via a garden staircase and an outdoor staircase (steel).

The path to the front door is well-lit.

We can hand over the keys in person or via a key box.

Early check-in and late check-out are possible if the apartment is available. Just ask us in person.
