Kemet Pyramids View Hotel

Room was lovely and spacious, staff were very kind.

Very loud music coming from the rooftop pool & transfer was very late picking us up from the airport.

The hotel was clean and new looking. Rooms were a great size and clean. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was great with delicious coffee and lots of selection. The hotel was walking distance to the pyramids, about a 20 minute walk.

There was some noise from the traffic outside (blowing of horns) but not too bad. The hotel is on a busy street, so this is to be expected.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the Giza Pyramids with a great view of said pyramids from the rooftop. Here there is a small pool with a small restaurant serving a great lamb tagine (we ate out other nights). The hotel staff (after our initial negative experience) were enthusiastic and attentive and we were made to feel very welcome! Our final room was on the 3rd floor (after two changes), so although we had a decent view it was obviously not as good as the rooftop, nor the 5th floor panoramic room that we had been lead to believe we'd receive when checking in. We found the cleaning staff thorough (and polite) and we were very happy with the standard of hygiene.

We had a bad start with this hotel where our room booked 9 months previously was apparently not available for the first night. So they put us in a tiny box room with poor air conditioning. For 2 beefy guys this wasn't great, but we didn't complain until there was no WiFi. Reading reviews after the fact, it appears this happens to guests from time to time at this hotel. At this point they moved us into a much bigger room with a decent aircon. It was late at night so the view didn't matter and we had an early tour the next morning. Because of the early tour we had arranged for a boxed breakfast which somehow wasn't communicated to the kitchen. At this point we had some stern words about the treatment and said they had an opportunity to turn matters around or get a 1* rating. To be fair to the team, they rose to the challenge. We were moved into a decent room of the type we had booked (panoramic pyramids view) and every member of staff became very attentive. Based on the experience of the last 2 days (of 3) we would have given them a higher rating. The only 3 let-downs were the busy road noise (constant hooting) which you get used to, the lack of mattress protectors (the single sheet would slip aside, leaving you sleeping on the mattress directly) and we found the breakfast selection disappointing (but with excellent coffee).

Halas w pokoju. Brak wody przez pol dnia. Dziwne dźwięki w lazience przy braniu prysznica lub spuszczaniu wody. Beznadziejne wifi - inne na kazde pietro. O wifi na basenie trzeba sie codziennie prosic. Srednio wyposazona silownia. Slabe sniadania, maly wybor, codziennie to samo. Malo lezakow na basenie, brak miejsca dla gosci. Malo pomocna obsluga recepcji.
