Fathers Place Hiriketiya

We had the most wonderful time. The place looks fresh and new. The rooms spacious and well kitted out. Isuru our host was so kind and helpful. Arranged for laundry and fetching anything we needed. Breakfast had various options western and local so good to try new things. The area was always clean and neat and the pool was delightful. It is away from the main beach so quieter.

The location is away from the main beach so a lttle walk and either way a hill but you can get Tuk-tuks.

What a wonderful stay! I'd struggled to decide where to stay in Hiriketiya, as the options were numerous, but I'm so happy we stayed at Father's Place. The highlights were the breakfast, the pool, and the staff! They must have taken feedback, because the breakfast was generous and delicious! Many options, which you selected via Whatsapp the evening before. The Sri Lanka dishes and fruit juice were particularly delicious. We had a room on the 2nd floor, which had 2 outdoor spaces, including a balcony that overlooked the pool. Room was large, shower was great. Room is simple and could have benefited from a place to put suitcases or store clothes, but there were several bedside tables and towel racks that made it workable and the design was beautiful. Loved being able to sit on the balcony and watch the peacocks and monkeys. The pool was delightfully refreshing after a hot day. And the staff was very friendly and welcoming, helping us get a tuktuk to the train station and chatting with us during breakfast. Location was great, next to several great restaurants and massage places, and a very short walk to Dickwalla beach for sunset and Hiriketiya beach for lounging. Everything was taken care of at Father's Place, making a relaxing and easy comfortable for our time in Sri Lanka! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Erg mooi appartement dat modern is ingericht, zeker het schakelmateriaal is te benoemen al werkt dit helaas met een kaart. Airco en Fan aanwezig alsmede een koelkast. Handdoeken voor het zwembad verkrijgbaar, goed ontbijt, welkomsdrankje en een top locatie. Vriendelijk personeel, water en thee op de kamer en een fijne douche met goede bedden.

Laat de elektriciteit aan.

De kamer was groot. En een goed matras. Alles was netjes schoon. Het verblijf is dichtbij bij het strand. Er zijn twee restaurants naast het hotel. En het zwembadje is prima.

Wat tegenviel is het ontbijt. Al heel veel keer naar Sri-lanka geweest en nergens zo'n slecht ontbijt gehad. Met de whatsapp je bestelling doorgeven is prima, maar als je uit zes kleine ontbijtjes kan kiezen is voor srilankaanse begrippen erg wijzig op een klein bordje. Als je fruit kiest krijg je verder niets. Overal in Sri-lanka krijg je bij je ontbijt fruit. Hier niet. !!!! Dat is alleeen je ontbijt. Dus dit hotel is zeker niet wat je in Sri-lanka verwacht het toont niet de gastvrijheid die je overal wel krijgt. Ook duurt het lang voor je het bordje geserveerd krijgt. Hoop dat dit snel veranderd en dat ze in gaan zien dat dit echt niet kan.
