Getting to the beach is simple - just follow the trail at the end of the street below the house that takes you to the secluded Shelter Cove Beach. Sheltered from the wind and surrounded by natural habitat, the home and its large yard offer serene views any time of year. And when you want to check out Port Orford, you'll find an incredibly welcoming town with a surprising selection of restaurants, shops, and galleries to explore.
This house offers Port Orford cedar throughout, giving it a warm ambience. On the main level you'll find a full kitchen, a living area, and a master bedroom with a private deck that's great for watching the sunset over the ocean. Climb the spiral staircase and you'll reach the loft space, with twin beds and a library of books. There's also a gangplank leading to an indoor deck feature, which offers a nook with windows looking out to the ocean and the Port Orford Reef. With free WiFi throughout the home and many forms of wildlife outside your window, you'll have plenty to keep you entertained. The family dog is also welcome!

We have very little travel experience, but liked the house. Due to our age/mobility limitations, we were unable to utilize the tight spiral staircase, so did not occupy upper floor or balcony. Main floor looked clean, but our socks told a different story. Couple of pillowcases(?) tossed on top of bedroom bookcase seemed to have missed the last laundering. Kitchen and bath nicely equipped. Home felt secure at night. Instructions were sensible and clear, not burdensome. We actually left a day earlier than our reservation allowed, needed to get back home.

This was a great location for our family. The oceanview and short walk to the beach were our favorite parts. Also, the close proximity to restaurant and café options was convenient. The home itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a great stay!

We loved this cozy little spot- perfect for our small family. It is so nice and tucked away with amazing, calming views. We did have a little trouble finding the private beach access for the community as there are a few private property no access signs on that end of cul de sac, so maybe wise to send a photo of the access to the guest in the welcome / check in information, but we loved everything. Thanks for a cozy stay!

House could use a better cleaning. Kitchen could use an upgrade, stove and utensils, baking pans. Mattress pad is torn and needs to be replaced. Yard maintenance could be better.
