The location is lovely, very remote but such a beautiful area. We were just down the road from Clumber Park National Trust, fantastic walking and early Autumn colours. The lodge was well furnished, we brought our dog, and the welcome pack was very handy. The heating is great, cold weekend, but we were nice and cozy. The hot tub was great, we braved the cold, but the water was lovely and hot making it worthwhile.

We arrived in the dark, my brother had checked us in when he arrived to his own cabin, and told us our number. You can't see the numbers on the lodges at all at night! Finding our lodge was pretty difficult, others were also having the same issue. A few lights on the numbers would really help. We also didn't realise when booking that you can't park next to the lodge. OK for us, but my mum is not very mobile, and uses a walker. We did park outside, as we were at the end of a cul de sac, and left her blue badge in the window. If we came again we would request a adapted lodge. But she managed fine, and it was us that hasn't mentioned it. Not the fault of the park, but non of us had any phone signal at all in anywhere we went. Thank goodness for the lodge wifi, we had to load sat nav inside before heading off anywhere. 1st world problems, but have never had this issue in the UK before!

Really nice location, lovely and clean lodge and the hot tub was fantastic. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean. WiFi was fast and the tv was brilliant.

There were a few bits that were getting a bit tired and could do with replacing. Blinds in the kitchen were very broken, bits in the kitchen were peeling off and catching. The cafe was poor, wanted to go for lunch and they told us most of the menu was unavailable.

The Lakeside lodge was in a very enjoyable location. It was also good that the Woodshed stayed open longer late in the season than on previous visits.

My son accidentally left a couple of items of clothing behind. Trying to contact Guest Services to report this was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I couldn't reach them by phone despite numerous attempts and always ended up (after many minutes listening to messages about pets and custard pie competitions!) speaking to Away Resorts staff, who likewise could get no reply. I emailed the Clumber guest services but after 3 days there was still no response. Having spent 18 years in Customer Service I have to say I am unimpressed. Eventually, I have heard back following yet another call I did hear back. Improvements probably need to be made regarding ensuring phone calls/emails are responded to promptly,

It’s basically a caravan with wood effect sides with steps and veranda made from decking. Hot tub.

The sofas were very stained, one of the sinks was cracked, the tv reception was poor. Couldn’t use the hot tub on the last day.
