We stayed at Hotel Harriet for a day (Thursday evening to Friday morning), and overall, it was a great experience. A huge shoutout to the staff for their exceptional hospitality! When we arrived late in Rameshwaram, it was past standard dinner hours, but our young son needed to eat. We informed the chef, and he went above and beyond—taking special care to prepare and send three different options to our room so our child could pick what he liked. That kind of thoughtful gesture truly made us feel at home. The parking is a bit away from the main property, but the staff, James and team, handled the logistics seamlessly. Friday morning was extremely busy near the Rameshwaram temple with several police road blockades. The team was incredibly generous and helped drop us off at the parking area, and even arranged a prompt pickup service for us when we returned. The hotel’s restaurant is on the smaller side, but the service and care provided by the dining staff were top-notch.

The only real downside of the stay was the room size—the room felt a bit too small, which is the main reason I’m deducting a couple of points. Despite the room size, the outstanding service, warm hospitality, and helpful staff make Hotel Harriet a great place to stay in Rameshwaram. Highly recommended!

Rooms downstairs DO NOT have any windows. How can you stay in a room with no windows?? We were eventually moved into a room upstairs which had windows. This was only done after we said we were going to look for a hotel elsewhere! Also food included is just average. Not great. The car parking is 3km away and is definitely NOT on site.
