Location. Comfy main room. Warm.

Front door needs replacing. Glasses were a weird mix of what was left. Bedroom is a bit too small mattress needs replacing.

The location was lovely, quiet little street and a short walk from the beach. Clean and felt like home for a few days, well supplied with dishes, cups, cutlery etc... cooking utensils, a kettle, some teabags and coffee which was great.

When I arrived, the fridge was full of water, I tried to dry it out, then I realised as it got dark that the door did not close properly as I could see the light. I emailed the hosts twice and they said they'd send someone to help but nobody came, as far as I know. I had to throw out food that had spoiled and I had to wedge the armchair up against the fridge door to try and keep it shut. Front door was hard to open sometimes, and looks like it could be replaced. There was dampness in the bathroom, and got a bit chilly and there was only a heater in the main living room with a portable one in the bedroom.

We had a lovely stay at The Mini Mansions in Elie and would happily return. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, shops and local amenities, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The cottage itself was spotless on arrival and very well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, cookware and utensils, which made self-catering easy and enjoyable. It's a charming little cottage with a cosy feel.

There are just a few areas where some improvements would make an already enjoyable stay even better. The front door could do with being replaced, both because it looks a little tired and because it was quite difficult to open and close. There is also a damp patch in the bathroom that would benefit from being addressed. The outside seating area has great potential but could use a little more care and attention. Some new outdoor furniture, a few flowers or plants, and a general refresh would make it a much more inviting and comfortable space to relax. Finally, the bedroom became exceptionally warm during our stay, so a small portable air conditioning unit or another cooling solution would make a big difference to guests' comfort during warmer weather. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time at The Mini Mansions. The excellent location, cleanliness and thoughtful provision of everything needed for a comfortable stay far outweigh these minor issues, and with a few small updates, this would be an outstanding place to stay.
