TURQUOISE Hostel

Absolutely highly recommend this hostel. 1) location is not in the old town, but very convenient with public transportation. Bus stops just around the corner and also close to metro station; 2) Super super clean, spacious room, comfortable bed, and curtains for privacy. Plus locker for your valuables. 3) Free luggage storage after check out is highly appreciated. 4) Chinara is super friendly and communicates very clearly. Chinara, you are the best!

The design of the common area is a bit odd. It’s outside the hostel, but it’s open 24 hours and equipped well. If you arrive early, it’s quite handy to rest a bit there before checkin time.

Very quiet and clean hostel

Not a social hostel but that’s not always a bad thing

Wonderful staff, clean, walk 4 minutes to the bus from the hostel and another 8 minutes to the city center. Not much going on in the area

- the location is not in the centre but it has a lot of bus stops to access public transport - it was very quiet - turkish man who works there was really helpful, changed the room per my request, etc.

- the whole atmosphere in the hostel is like a night club, like a dorm, no hostel soul at all. May be the owner never travelled… Why to make a common zone somewhere with the access only from outside? Why to hang the board with all the information so high and on the dark spot so no one will notice? Why there is no ventilation in the shower? Why the light is turning off in the toilet after 1 minute so you need to get up to turn it on by waving your hands? - the guests are regulating a/c temperature themselves. So when I stayed in the room for 6 people, the guy turned on a/c at night for 20 degrees. I got frozen, because hostel provides only one thin bedspread. - the girl who is working on reception, was really happy when she understood I speak Russian (as well as her). That was her only time of happiness. The other times I was asking for something, she seemed so bored/tired/etc to do anything or stressing out. And she didn’t mention anything about towels, earplugs, etc… she told me only the RULES I should follow (change slippers, return the key when check out, etc)
