This opulent log home features three bedrooms with an extra bed in the loft and a large deck that invites you to step outside and appreciate the picturesque surroundings. Spanning two levels and encompassing 2300 square feet, this home offers ample opportunities for solitude or gathering with loved ones while enjoying a great location near the heart of Winter Park, on
the Winter Park resort bus line, and one block from the national forest. Note that you can ski home through the national forest from the Winter Park Resort Vasquez ski area.
The main level of the residence features a spacious floor plan, vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams and features a cozy Franklin stove that accepts real wood and a flat screen TV with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy a true log home ambiance.
Access to the large deck from the main level provides a wonderful spot to enjoy the surrounding forest views, a BBQ grill and comfortable outdoor furnishings.
Adjacent to this area is the dining room and a gourmet kitchen. The dining area offers seating for up to ten guests and the Franklin wood stove. Extra folding chairs are in the 2nd bedroom closet The large gourmet kitchen is equipped with a kitchen island for easy meal prep, colorful cabinets and everything a chef will need to prepare meals for the whole family on vacation
and two spots are the kitchen island and access to half bathroom.
The main level has a half bath and a full bathroom with a new vanity and shower enclosure which is shared between the two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and workstation with a large computer monitor with pocket door access to the full bathroom. The second bedroom features a king-sized bed. For your convenience there is a washer & dryer in a closet near the main floor front door.
The second level features a large open living room loft with comfortable sofas, flat screen TV and a queen bed for extra sleeping options. In addition, the second level includes a large and spacious primary bedroom with its own full bathroom. It has a new king-size bed and a full-size bed.
This log home is nestled within a cul-de-sac of a local neighborhood. Outdoor parking is provided along the side of the driveway and can accommodate two regular size or three small vehicles. It is advisable to utilize a four-wheel drive or AWD vehicle during the winter season to ensure safe access to the road leading to the home.
Note that the lower level of the house with the garage is a separate, locked-out apartment occupied by full time tenants.
No smoking or pets are allowed on the property. These regulations will be rigorously upheld, with a $500 fine imposed on guests who violate them.

We loved our cabin time! We had a variety of ages and abilities for our ski trip and this worked perfectly. One flight of stairs into the property and then 2 large rooms on the main floor with 1.5 baths was perfect for folks who needed a "stair break". Master suite w king and double bed was HUGE with a comfy bathroom. We didn't try the sauna. Property provided plenty of additional heaters and a humidifier. Kitchen well appointed with clean, quality pans and dishes. 2 coffee makers, toaster, mixing beaters, and food processor. Thanks for a lovely time!

The home itself was fantastic! We truly enjoyed our stay and the space. It was very open and clean. It was very easy to get a hold of someone from the management company when necessary.We did have a few issues. A couple of the beds were comfortable, but a couple were quite uncomfortable. The sauna didn't work, but that came up the morning of checkout and when I called they said that would be fixed. The biggest concern was that there is an "apartment" in the basement of the home with a tenant. It is not separated from the home itself. The tenant has direct access into the home, there is no way to secure your living space. The tenant uses the garage to park and the access to their apartment takes them through a small common area at the bottom of the basement stairs. The top of the basement stairs are in the middle of the main living area and there's no door at the top to secure, just a do not enter sign. This made it awkward when the kids were playing and something fell down the stairs. I reached out prior to the trip to ask why it says not to park on front of the garage and didn't get a response. It made sense after we arrived and the tenant politely met us outside to make sure we weren't blocking the garage. Bottom line, the property is beautiful and well kept. You should just be aware that there is some cross over of some common space so you're not caught off guard. This property would be a 5 out of 5 with those couple improvements.
