Vakos Guest House

Vakos Guesthouse has a fantastic location just across the river from central Mestia, so it is quieter while still being very convenient for everything in town. The northeast-facing terrace has wonderful views over Mestia and the surrounding mountains, and is especially comfortable with a hammock, sofa, tables and chairs. I particularly enjoyed taking a chair down toward the edge of the property and sitting beside the river on sunny days. The guesthouse gives you all the amenities of staying in Mestia without being right in the busy center. I appreciated being able to use the kitchen and fridge, as well as the parking. The host was also very helpful whenever I had questions.

The toilet seat was rather uncomfortable. Who would have thought I'd come across such an issue in all my travels!

Wonderful guesthouse in Svaneti! The place is very cozy, clean, and has an amazing view of the mountains. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting!
