The Iceberg Tahoe

We really liked where this hotel was located - it's close enough to the state line that there are several dining and entertainment options within walking distance. It's also a couple of blocks off highway 50, so it's pretty quiet. The room had plenty of space and a nice little selection of coffee & tea accompanying the coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. The bed was really comfy, though the pillows were quite thick, so if you're used to a thinner pillow bring your own!

I'm not sure if all of the rooms are like this, but the shower in ours had one of those stationary glass panels that leaves much of the shower open in order to get into it. Every place I've stayed with this setup allows too much water to splash out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. We didn't have any issues during our stay, but this was the first hotel we stayed in that didn't have any desk person or staff (other than housekeeping) on site. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer having someone at the desk to ask for recommendations, directions, etc.

Shower was good, towels were small, bed comforting, no tea or milk, only coffee 🙁

No staff on site, no access until 4Pm due to electronic door locks, even though room was ready

Very nice looking remodel.

Laminate flooring so if on the 1st floor expect to hear every footstep above you. Especially with kids that ran around starting 6 am each day! The beds were also extremely noisy with just the smallest movement.
