The educational path is a kind of "open-air classroom" and with its design it unobtrusively blends in with the natural environment - wooden steps lead up a steep slope to the top of the park, and four educational boards give guests the opportunity to learn about details related to the reconstruction of the "Sleeping Beauty Villa" itself, as well as to flora and fauna and the cultural heritage of the Tuhelj region. At the highest point of the park that rests on a stone retaining wall, there is a lookout point with a gazebo and benches, from which there is a beautiful view of the protected landscape of the nearby Cesargradska Gora mountain - a cosy corner created to rest and relax in the greenery of Zagorje hills.Close to Vila Trnoružica are Terme Tuhelj (4 km), Zelenjak (5 km), Klanjec (7 km), Kumrovec (7 km) and Veliki Tabor (16 km). Located at the very source of thermal water and healing mud, Terme Tuhelj is the most popular spa center in continental Croatia. The baroque Mihanović castle is also part of the complex. Sights such as the Gallery and Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery, the Franciscan monastery and church and the memorial cemetery give evidence of rich historical and cultural heritage of Klanjec. Cesargrad, a medieval fortress burned in the Peasant Revolt in 1573, is also worth visiting. In the protected area of nature, Zelenjak, rises a monument to the Croatian anthem.
