And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

By evening, the backyard takes over - a firepit glowing, outdoor furniture pulled into a circle, the city humming somewhere just past the fence line. This is a classic Mid-City shotgun home, built for slow mornings and long nights out.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms hold four beds total, each room set up with quality linens, dressers, and luggage racks so unpacking takes minutes, not hours. Sound machines and earplugs are tucked away for anyone who sleeps light. It's a layout that works equally well for a family spreading out or a group of friends splitting rooms.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to a full dinner party - cooking basics, crockery and cutlery, a dishwasher, oven, microwave, blender, toaster, and a coffee maker ready to go along with coffee, tea, and cocktail essentials. Wine glasses are on hand for the inevitable porch toast. A dining table seats the group for shared meals and the conversations that come after.

Bathroom
Two bathrooms keep mornings moving even with a full house, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hairdryer so nobody has to pack the basics.

Outdoor living
Two separate outdoor spaces give you options depending on the mood. The front porch is built for morning coffee and watching the neighborhood go by, while the backyard - complete with a firepit and outdoor furniture - is where the evenings happen. It's a great hangout spot for pups, too: this home is pet-friendly for up to two dogs, 25 lbs or less, with a required pet fee; unauthorized pets will incur a $250 additional fee.

Comfort & essentials
Air conditioning, ceiling fans, and heating keep the home comfortable year-round, and an in-unit washer and dryer make longer stays simple. A TV covers entertainment, free street parking is available right on the street, and the home offers self check-in with a smart lock for easy arrivals. Safety essentials - smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit - are all in place. The home is single-level, with no stairs to navigate.

You're in the heart of Mid-City, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and the Canal Streetcar. The French Quarter, City Park, and the Superdome are just minutes away, putting you close to the action for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest, Sugar Bowl, and more.
