Aethra

New, clean, good size property so not too busy. Plenty sun beds, lovely staff, great breakfast. Great location in the centre of Nidra

Nothing really, maybe the gym could have been designed to have a little more spare floor space for mat work.

Overall a great stay at Aethra for our trip away as a couple. The hotel itself is brand new so all facilities and areas were to a great quality and exceptionally clean. Our room was a great size with an extra bathroom and area upstairs. The gym was a great bonus, perfect for what we wanted. The pool area is also very nice with comfortable sunbeds and a nice modern feel. Food menu is good value for a light bite around the pool. Breakfast was also good, enough variety of fruit, pastries and cooked food. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Perfect location to the beaches nearby and the town of Nydri on your doorstep.

It was very quiet as it was naturally the end of season but it would have benefited from creating a little more atmosphere - ie. Staff could have done more to encourage people to have a drink around the bar etc, for example we saw a menu that advertised a happy hour but these were only Put out on our last day there! The pool was very cold, which I’m sure if great in the height of the summer but maybe a little cold when the temperatures were a bit milder when we visited. We had a later flight and asked about a late check-out which we were informed would be €69 euros, which felt quite steep given it was quiet at the hotel, but we were allowed to store our bags and shower by the pool shower which was fine, but would have been good to have an additional shower or changing room on site.

Excellent quality of rooms and communal spaces, amazing staff from the cleaners and breakfast staff to the reception team and bar staff. I was made to feel very welcome during my stay. The property is in a great walkable location to Nydri harbour, and the bus to Lefkada town is only a couple of minutes walk away. Thank you so much for an incredible stay. A special mention to Angelos and Kleanthis for their hospitality and chat - both are an asset to the team.

The hotel was quiet on an evening - most people chose to go into Nydri, but I think this will be different once the rest of the rooms open, and at a different time of the season

It’s beautiful, spacious and clean.

Breakfast could be improved and the spa was not open yet when we attended but cost reflected this so no problem.
