Beautiful clean and modern home

A beautiful modern home. Exceptionally clean. So well equipped with added extras like coffee machine and air fryer. Top range appliances. Kids were delighted with the big TV. Comfy beds. Easy check in. Quiet estate which we used as a base for exploring Gortin, the Mournes and Carlingford.

We planned a weekend trip with our friends to Newry and stayed at this property for 2 nights. DO NOT LET THE IMAGES FOOL YOU because our experience was absolutely horrible. On our first night, the fire alarm started going off in the middle of the night. After turning it off multiple times, it kept going off every 10 minutes and did not stop at all throughout the night. During this, we had neighbours coming out of their houses and complaining to us about the noise from the alarm. At this point we felt extremely embarrassed and had to keep apologising throughout the night. We were also told by some neighbours that this was not the first time this had happened, and that it had kept happening to previous guests staying in the house. The fire alarm indicated carbon monoxide in the house, which really scared all of us due to the potential of a gas leak. We were then forced to call the fire brigade, who instructed us to evacuate the house temporarily for 45 minutes in the middle of the night, in our pyjamas. It got worse because it also started raining. Once the fire brigade finished their investigation, they told us the fire alarm was faulty and needed to be replaced. Additionally, due to the policies the fire brigade must follow, they turned off the hot water in the house, which just broke us completely. I do have to say that the Newry Fire Brigade acted very professionally and responded promptly, which was very impressive. After everything we experienced, the owner decided to bribe us with a refund in return for a really good review, which was very unethical from his side. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AT ALL. The images might fool you, but the fact is the fire alarms are faulty, which shows the property is not being properly maintained.
