Suviranta – Your Cozy Vacation Home in the Heart of Finland

Welcome to our charming lakeside vacation home, just 30 meters from the shore—the perfect place to relax and enjoy Finnish nature to the fullest.

Inside, you’ll find a cozy living room with an open fireplace, a dining table, and a comfortable sleeper sofa. This is my favorite spot to fall asleep while listening to the crackling of the fire. The cottage also features two small bedrooms, each with a double bed (160 x 200 cm).
The small kitchen is fully equipped—ideal for cooking and dining at the table by the panoramic window with a good glass of wine.
A gas grill is available on the terrace, and down by the lake you’ll find a wood-fired grill as well as a fire pit with a large rustic table and benches for unforgettable outdoor meals. Our traditional wood-fired sauna offers wonderfully gentle warmth. Water is fetched from the lake in buckets—and as the sauna heats up, the water warms up at the same time. Instead of a shower, you traditionally pour the warm water over your body with a ladle—just as the Finns have done for centuries.

A special highlight is the Toweri, a tower with a breathtaking view over the lake. It even features a climbing wall and a bright area on the first floor with large windows. In the summer, you can sleep here on beanbag chairs (Fatboys) or relax in a hammock with a mosquito net.

Good to know:
- Dry firewood is included in the price and stored on-site
- Traditional toilet in a separate small building
- 3 bicycles (for adults) are available—please note: the paths are sandy or rocky, not paved; Cycling here is a true nature experience
- Badminton, darts, soccer, and other games for group activities

And right on the shore is a wood-fired HOT TUB (filled with lake water via a pump)—perfect for relaxing under the open sky.

Kids feel especially at home here! Pets are welcome.
