spacious and new apartment for 2 with one bedroom and an open kitchen-dining-living room. Very big terrace. Parking facilities were plentiful and on the parking of the mall next door are 6 public EV chargers, which is very convenient if you travel with an electric car. No need to waste time at a gas station (which is also on the mall property). Just plug in for the night and you are good to go the next morning. The location is very convenient at the border of the little town of Avenches and one km off the highway.

you pay for an apartment that probably was meant to be rented out-sold. Space-wise It is not well configured unless one lives there and uses the space of the terrace filling it up with a little pool, work out equipment, bbq or something along those lines. The problem for a hotel property is that there is just a little table with two chairs and a lot of empty space, which is priced in. So, one pays for something that cannot be used. They could have made the terrace half the size, which would still be a very big terrace and built an additional room instead. Also, the kitchen has a proper oven, which will probably be very rarely used for travelers who stay one to a couple of nights. A micro-wave would make much more sense. Also, the fact that there was just one Nespresso capsule offered for the Nespresso machine shows that the hosts are a bit stingy, which also shows on the quasi empty terrace.

online check in and self check in procedures are long and inefficient. self check in couldn’t give us our keys. we lost 15 mins to get our keys
