Jungle Paradise

We stayed at Jungle Paradise for 2 nights (2 adults and 2 children). The resort is very nice and clean, and the large pool was perfect. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. The food was also very good. We booked a half-day morning safari right there and were absolutely thrilled. We saw lots of elephants with their babies, monkeys, crocodiles, water buffalo, and turtles.

Hidden away in the jungle near the entrance to Udawalawa National Park, Jungle Paradise is exactly that. Very large, comfortable room, spotlessly clean, with a gorgeous verandah where you can sit listening to the incredible birdsong. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, and good value. The swimming pool was perfect. We couldn’t fault the place.

The staff was super nice and helpful!! We felt we were in good hands and the pool was really fun. We must recommend the Safari tour guide - Sala. He was super!! Great stay to come see the Safari on our way from Colombo to Arugam.

Nothing to say here

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Udawalawe national park. Spacious rooms, lovely pool, and the nicest staff we have met during our time in Sri Lanka. Easy to get to from the east and south coasts, nice restaurant (too far to eat elsewhere ) and good WiFi. A special mention to Lasa, who is their in-house safari guide, who took us on a private safari to the park in his jeep. He has many years experience and knows the park as well as one could. We saw all expected animals on our half day safari, and we encountered many vehicles who didn’t manage to see any elephants! Very fair price and overall amazing experience.

Not so much a negative, but you do not need to spend any more than 1-2 days here, as once you have done the safari there is little to do. If the sun in shining then you can spend the day by the pool, but for us it was raining after the safari so decided to leave. Not a fault of the property at all though, it does what it says on the tin!
