THE CHAE Premium Hanok Stay

The Chae Hanok was an amazing experience. We stayed in the Uhui space. The outdoor living space is beautiful to look at from the bedroom, and I loved the outdoor bath. The wellness room with a mat and coffee/tea was really beautiful. The neighborhood is so quaint and lovely - that when we moved 2 kilometers to more of a tourist hotel - we would go back to Jongno for all of our meals and for walking around. The downtown was too chaotic and crowded - whereas Jongno was such a special experience. My husband and I are small people so the space was great for us. One person does need to climb out of the bed - as there isn't space to walk all around the bed - and to go into the wellness room - you step up a big step. All the ammenities they provided - robes, soaps, bath salts, tea, coffee, clothes steamer (wash), incense - was just amazing. We loved this experience much more than our hotel in Myeongdong. Please note - the Chae units are not all together - so ensure you know which one you are staying in - and know the address. The hiking in this area is amazing - and we hiked the entire Seoul Wall. It was beautiful. Incredible restaurants, coffee shops and stores nearby.

It was lovely. I did get a little confused by all the different addresses - but easy to figure out.

トラブルはあったが、メールやチャットのレスポンスは早くその辺りはストレスはなかった。 なんとか応えようとしてくれる姿勢はあるが、結局解決できず、また情報も錯綜したのかこちらとのコミュニケーションが上手にいかなかった。 ただ、最終的な評価としては国内旅行並みにホストがゲストをもてなそうとする姿勢は感じられた。

詳細は省くが、最終的にはホスト側の不手際があったものの、解決しようとメールやチャットのレスポンスは速かった。 恐らく今後はこのような事は起こらないと思う。

We were blown away by the beauty of this hanok. The place looks amazing, so many thoughtful details. Clearly a lot of love has gone into curating the space. The linen felt so luxurious. The location is fabulous.

While staying here was a great experience, the bed was pretty uncomfortable for those of us not used to sleeping on a thin futon. The booking system isn't very clear that there are different locations around Seoul that you could be booked into - the original booking had one location listed but then this changed on the final confirmation email and I hadn't realised so initially went to the wrong place.
