The municipality of Puntagorda is a true idyll for hikers, nature lovers, anglers and connoisseurs of local produce. The elongated village is nestled between green hills and Mediterranean gardens at an altitude of around 600 metres. There you will find all the important facilities such as the town hall, churches, post office, bank, health centre, tourist information, shops and bars. The entire north-west is one big hiking area with wild ravines, dragon trees, extensive pine forests, secluded beaches and sea pools in the cliffs of the steep coast. The path up to the Roque de los Muchachos at 2,426 metres above sea level and several small mountain villages, where time seems to stand still, is also very close by.
