Welcoming, helpful staff made us feel right at home. The room is exquisitely furnished and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The woodfired tub was a welcome treat after a long day on the road. We highly recommend Blomberg!

Everything was perfect!! Hidden gem.

The peace and quiet created by the seclusion of the farm....a great escape from the Hussle and bustle of life. Air conditioned rooms and then enough wood provided for the proverbial all night fire under the stary skies. The fact that one can either self cater or have a breakfast and later a gourmet meal for dinner, means if you ever want a spontaneous get away....this could be it...a Gem

Not all units have the Hot tub🙈 my fault for not reading the unit we booked....Next time though I will be hot tubbing under the starts😁

I didn't realise it was quite far from town but not a huge issue.

We booked the room with breakfast and dinner for three nights and felt very comfortable and well taken care of by Chef Phetho and guesthouse host Celeste, they both did an outstanding job! My wife is vegetarian and requires gluten free meals which was not a problem for Chef Phetho at all. All meals were delicious and very well presented! The pool area is nice, the lush, green garden is beautiful especially with the dry, rocky backdrop. Note that this property is not in Clanwilliam town but rather situated 55 km / 1 hour away. The drive there is beautiful over the Pakhuis Pass but for a lengthy stay can become a tedious commute if you base your activities in Clanwilliam. Remember to bring sufficient supplies especially if self-catering.

The dam area and the path to the river is very new as of September 2026 so it all looks barren and a bit like a construction site. Over time this will turn green / look more natural no doubt but currently it is a bit of an eyesore. We found it weird that the resident lodge manager didn't introduce her/himself to us or as much as say hi when nearby as we would have liked to ask a few questions.
