There are many beautiful hiking and biking trails—which we also enjoy—offering opportunities to explore the Mecklenburg countryside along the long-distance bike paths through the Lewitz or around Schwerin’s outer and inner lakes, known as "the Blue Eight."
The city center, with its cafés, restaurants, and shopping options, invites you to linger and is easily accessible by bike, public transportation, or car. Bus and train stops are just a few minutes’ walk from our vacation rental.
Discover the historic old town on a city tour aboard a double-decker convertible bus or take a boat tour on Lake Schwerin aboard an excursion steamboat. On a guided tour through the gardens of Schwerin Castle, learn fascinating facts about landscape architecture and the artists behind it, from the Baroque era to the present day.
The Kaspelwerder recreational area on Lake Ostorf, with its swimming area just 700 meters away, is a nearby destination for activities in and on the water. The climbing forest and Schwerin Zoo are other popular attractions in the area.
