The Beckerwitz vacation resort is idyllically situated between the Baltic Sea resort of Boltenhagen and the Hanseatic city of Wismar. The popular "Wohlenberger Wiek" swimming cove is located in the immediate vicinity; it’s especially popular with families because it features a shallow and mostly calm stretch of beach. It is accessible on foot, by bike, or by car (parking is available nearby).
Whether you’d like to relax on the beach, go on long bike rides along the beautiful Baltic Sea coast, or simply visit the historic Hanseatic city of Wismar, everything is possible from our vacation rental. Destinations such as Schwerin, with its stunning castle in the middle of the lake, are also well worth a day trip.
Our vacation rental is called “Lütt Matten de Has,” named after the attached children’s song:
Lütt Matten de Has'
Lütt Matten de Has'
De mal sik en Spaß,
He weer bi't Studeern
Dat Dansen to lehrn,
Un ganz ganz allein
Opa de achtersten Been.
...
(Klaus Groth)

This Low German children’s song brings back wonderful memories of summer vacations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. That’s why we’ve made this song the theme of our vacation rental, which we purchased in 2017 and then lovingly renovated.
We are Inka and Uwe Hüning, from Dresden. We want you to enjoy a peaceful, relaxed, and restful vacation in our vacation rental.
We certainly haven’t finished everything yet, but we hope you feel at home and have a pleasant stay!

We wish you a wonderful time at our vacation rental “Lütt Matten” in Beckerwitz and hope to welcome you back again someday—The Hüning Family
