Welcome to Wellington House – a stately, three-story corner home offering nearly 2,600 square feet of beautifully maintained living space in the historic Sibley Tract of the 19th Ward, just minutes from the University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital.

Surrounded by lawns, mature trees, and lush perennial gardens, this distinctive property blends old-world charm with modern comfort – an ideal haven for traveling nurses, visiting faculty, or long-term guests seeking a peaceful, character-rich home base.

First Floor

Step into a charming foyer, and you'll be greeted by an expansive living room with original oak and walnut woodwork, inlaid wood floors, oriental carpets, and curated original artwork. A stunning baby grand piano and additional tiled 3-season sunroom with leaded-glass windows create an inviting space to relax or entertain.

The formal dining room is a showpiece, featuring rich wood-beamed ceilings, Stickley furniture, banks of windows, and original Arts & Crafts light fixtures. The refurbished kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and a small table for quick breakfasts or to read the morning news. The kitchen connects to a butler’s pantry and mudroom—practical for everyday living.

Second Floor:

Up the hand-carved staircase, light filters through leaded-glass windows onto a spacious landing. The luxurious primary suite—initially two separate bedrooms—includes a king-size Tempur-Pedic bed, a private sitting area with a 55" television, a walk-in closet, and a serene outdoor Juliette porch. A second bedroom, affectionately known as the Bird Room, features a charming four-poster king bed with another Tempur-Pedic mattress. A third bedroom features a lovely Queen-sized bed, a vanity mirror, and a window seat. A full bathroom with a shower-over-tub completes this level.

Third Floor:

The third floor is locked off to guests.

NOTE: This property has a utilities (gas & electric) cap of $300 per month. Anything over that may be billed.
