Visitor’s Tax/Overnight Stay Tax of the Hanseatic City of Wismar (5%):
The Hanseatic City of Wismar levies a visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax of 5% on the travel price of the booked accommodation. This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking. Since the visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax is not based on the number of people, guests of the Hanseatic City of Wismar will not be issued a visitor’s card.

Cozy vacation rental in the historic Hanseatic city of Wismar, located in a quiet residential neighborhood not far from the Old Town. The church tower is already visible from the living room window. From here, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the sights of the historic Old Town.
Separate entrance and a steep wooden staircase leading to the first floor. A stair gate ensures safety for young guests. Two bedrooms and one living/sleeping area with a kitchenette, plus a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and hair dryer.
First bedroom with a closet and a double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m); this bedroom leads to the second, smaller bedroom with a double sofa bed (1.40 x 2.00 m), 1 wooden crib, and a changing table.
The living room features an open kitchen and dining area, equipped with satellite TV, a radio, a couch (which doubles as a sleeper—1.40 x 2.00 m when extended) suitable for 1 person, and a seating area with a high chair. Kitchenette equipped with a 2-burner stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave; laminate flooring.

Kids’ extras: A crib (wooden-slatted bed), changing table, high chair, toys, stair gate, and stroller are available free of charge. A playground is just a 5-minute walk away.
A bike rental shop is just a 5-minute walk away (bikes for adults and children, as well as child bike seats).

Shopping options in the area: A large shopping center is just a few minutes’ drive from the vacation rental. The Hanseatic city of Wismar, whose Old Town has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002, offers many different sightseeing and recreational opportunities.
Northern Germany’s largest market square features water features and the famous Alter Schwede restaurant. From here, you can stroll along the boulevard, past the many beautifully and lovingly restored townhouses, straight to the harbor. The area around the harbor offers many (seafood) restaurants serving regional delicacies. A beautifully designed promenade invites you to explore the harbor area.
Children: Younger guests will especially enjoy the Wonnemar water park, the zoo with its large adventure playground, the Mumpitz indoor playground, and the movie theater. A playground and a bowling alley are just a 5-minute walk away.
