Historical Buildings and Landmarks in Kürbitz

Old Arch Bridge
For around 700 years, this impressive stone arch bridge has connected the two districts across the White Elster River.
With its seven arches and a length of 46 meters, it is one of the oldest stone arch bridges in Germany—a true piece of history!

Former Manor House of the Kürbitz Knightly Estate
The former manor house of the knightly estate is located right next to the bridge.
The main building was originally a moated castle—a fascinating place steeped in history.

⛪ St. Salvator Church
Built between 1624 and 1626, the church’s striking octagonal tower dominates the townscape.
The richly decorated interior is just as worth seeing as the model in the Klein-Vogtland miniature exhibition.

✝️ Stone Cross
Set into the retaining wall of the church grounds, this historic relic serves as a reminder of times long past.

Griebenherde
Just a few steps away from the stone cross is the Griebenherde—another small piece of local history that gives Kürbitz its special charm.
