The rooms were a good size & the beds were comfortable.

The kitchen didn't have enough crockery for 4 adults. The place is situated off a little square at the top of a hill. It is walkable downhill to the centre & the port, but a steep walk back after a busy day so a taxi is definitely needed each time. We have stayed in other places in Italy that were better value for money.

We had a wonderful stay in this home in Sorrento. The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The location was perfect — close to the center, restaurants, and shops, yet quiet enough to fully unwind.

The location was one of the few positive aspects. It was possible to reach the city centre on foot, although contrary to the description, it was closer to a 20-minute walk rather than 10 minutes. The way to the centre is mostly downhill, while coming back involves a slight uphill walk.

Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue during our stay. The pillow was visibly stained. When we mentioned this, the host insisted that it had been washed, but did not offer to replace it or bring a clean one; instead, we would have had to go and get one ourselves. In my opinion, if a pillowcase is visibly worn or stained, it should simply be replaced. Even more concerning was the condition of the kitchenware. The cutlery, plates, mugs and glasses were not properly clean and many of them still had visible dirt on them. It was very unpleasant to arrive at an accommodation and have to wash someone else’s dishes before being able to use them. There were also ants in the property. When we reported these issues and even sent photos, the response was essentially that the host could not see the stains and that she was sorry about the ants, but no solution or compensation was offered. The communication was also unnecessarily frequent and somewhat intrusive. The host asked in advance what time we would arrive, and we gave an exact arrival time. Despite this, we still had to wait around 10 minutes for her to arrive with the keys. During our three-day stay, she repeatedly asked what time we would be checking out, even though we had not requested any special check-out arrangement and were leaving within the stated check-out time. She also reminded us several times to leave the tourist tax and keys on the table, despite having already explained this clearly upon arrival. None of these issues would necessarily have been a major problem individually, but together they made the stay quite uncomfortable. While the host did check in with us and ask how our trip was going, we would have appreciated much more attention to the basic standards of cleanliness, comfort and practical support.
