A beautiful old motel kept in near perfect condition.

Old style charm … took me about to good times past.

The motel was in an excellent location directly across from the beach and the room was generally clean. However, allowing for the age of the property and its budget price, we felt the comfort and facilities fell below our expectations.

The property was very dated, and the room was more basic than we had anticipated. The double bed was uncomfortable and positioned against a wall, meaning both occupants had to access it from the same side, which was particularly awkward. The sliding bathroom door was very stiff and difficult to operate. The bathroom itself felt quite institutional, with a hospital-style shower curtain and a very small hand basin with separate hot and cold taps, no mixer and no plug. A kettle was provided, but we couldn't find a conveniently located power point to use it. Although we had booked a garden-view room, there didn't appear to be much of a garden view.
