MacDonald Arms Hotel

Very busy shore-front when driving off the ferry from Kilchoan, but was able to park free outside the hotel every day. Checked in by Dan - Senior Manager. Room 6 on 1st floor facing the harbour, quiet. Complimentary scotch and tablet in the room - a welcome surprise. Bar and restaurant on ground floor. Very good cocktails! Local produce for food - cooked to order. One day we walked in A LOT of rain (proper clothing, so no issues). Dan put our wet-gear in the hotel drier room overnight. Lots of local walks in Tobermory area, especially the lighthouse.

We loved the location of the MacDonald Arms Hotel! The view when you came down the stairs was spectacular of Tobermory bay in the morning light. The room was modern clean and comfortable. The staff were very good and they interacted with my toddler. I loved that the room had an entryway to put our coats and shoes, it also helped cancel out any noise from guests coming up/down the stairs.

Next time I would really love to try a room with a view of the bay, I’m sure it would be stunning to wake up to.

Breakfast was great. The full Scottish breakfast was fantastic

Breakfast had little choice, no yoghurt or granola.
