A delightful, traditional British boarding house in a fabulous location. Easy access, efficient host. Very clean room. Excellent value for money.

I did not think it would bother me but this is a room only arrangement using a shared bathroom & toilet. No ensuite facilities - which we knew about & chose to accept. It was inconvenient having no sink/running water in the room. The shake n' vac smell gave me hay fever & I was concerned about the lack of fire escape. These are minor things which we accepted when we booked so it was our decision. The value for money & excellent location RIGHT ON THE SEA FRONT made up for what was lacking.

breakfast not supplied. I really loved the location. So close to the beach. Walking and swimming everyday. The owners were exceptional with my requests etc. and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I would stay again if in the area. Thankyou.

Maybe another shower/toilet on the first floor. Also a fridge in the room, perhaps, as it was very hot. The Hideaway had no windows, except an unused fire escape door, leading onto a broken fire escape. Also very dark with very low lighting, but very comfortable bed. I loved the alternative to modern decor, with the furniture, possibly recycled. I hope the owners keep it that way!!

The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen cool and comfortable. Everything had been thought of.
