The apartment was excellent. Completely remodeled and with all new furniture and appliances. Very well decorated and maintained. The view was out of this world. The issues we had were all with the rental company, Rising Tides Properties. Their communication was poor. At the time of renting we were not advised the Army Corps of Engineers would be there on the beach drudging sand for beach improvements. There was very loud equipment working 24 hours a day directly behind the apt complex. The beach area was closed behind the property for 36 hours. Also, there was a power surge from lightening and we were without air conditioning for another 36 hours with temp indexes of 103 and 105 degrees respectively. We received email communications of all this after we were already made aware from others staying there. We were denied any type of reimbursement for these horrible conditions which we feel we very well deserved. So the apartment was fabulous but the rental company only deserves 1 star!!! I would hope they would be dropped from VRBO.
